A multi-talented artist, Mary works in pastels, oils, pencil and bronze. She enjoys the challenge and concentrated discipline of painting. By contrast, she finds sculpting to be a spontaneous and relaxing pleasure.
A native New Yorker, Mary moved to Texas in 1950 and began portrait painting in 1958. She added sculpting to her choice of media in 1970.
Her paintings and sculptures are included in private and corporate collections thoughout the Southwest. Mary's bronzes, cast by Cire Perdue (lost wax) method, have been commissioned by Trinity School, Midland; Dallas Crippled Children's Society; Cerebral Palsey Center, Midland; Scarsdale, New York, and city of Midland, "Midland Spirit," which is a bronze relief.
