John Ellis

Though John's sculptures are contemporary, the inspiration for the shapes and symbols used to form them are very old. He believes that in a world of fast-paced everything, a look back into the basics of human expression may give us a chance to think anew.  It is with that hope that he shares his work with others.

Originally from a small town in southeast Missouri, he had numerous mentors to whom he owes a great deal of credit. A main influence in his life and his art is the work of Carl Jung. Through his writing and the writing of his followers, John has been able to find ways to look at himself in light and darkness, thus allowing him to fabricate stainless steel sculptures that combine his thoughts, feelings and skills into a form of expression that he thoroughly enjoys.
