Gareth spent a decade exploring Alaska and restoring historic works at the University of Alaska Museum.  Inspired by his involvement with Alaskan art and history, he creates dynamic sculptures that vividly portray the culture and spirit of the first people and wildlife of Alaska.

 

Gareth grew up in northern Minnesota and was influenced by the artistic talents of his father and grandfather.  He received formal training in art at the University of Minnesota, Duluth.  He currently  resides in the iron range of Minnesota with his wife and children.
