Having worked with metal for more
than twenty-five years, he has provided architects from across the country with
unique solutions to a wide range of problems by including functional and
non-functional applications to his works within a wide range of sizes, and
interior and exterior solutions. He maintains a well-equipped fabrication
studio and enjoys a reputation for providing exciting visual solutions coupled
with meticulous craftsmanship. He works
well with architects and clients and presents his ideas via Maquettes
fabricated in metal. Johnston’s work has been widely shown and is included in
numerous public and private collections including the Sweeney Art Gallery at
the University of California; Cranbrook Academy of Art Museum in Bloomfield
Hills, Michigan; Delta Airlines in Los Angeles; and various Salt Lake City
parks and government agencies
