Ellie Dolgin

A sculptor for over thirty years, Ellie Dolgin creates figurative bronze pieces that dazzle and fascinate.  Whether realistic or stylized, her work goes right to the core of universal emotions, evoking joy, sadness, wonder, hope and intimacy—always in relationship with a lover, sister or to the subject herself.

When Oprah Winfrey saw two of Ellie’s pieces in a gallery in Chicago, she bought both of them for her private collection.  Since then, Boomer Esiason and other collectors have commissioned her to make sculptures of their children.

A graduate of Syracuse University, Ellie has exhibited in galleries all over the country including the Nassau County Museum of Art in Roslyn Harbor, NY, Merrill Chase Galleries, Chicago, Ill, E.S. Lawrence Gallery in Aspen, CO, Gallery 121 in Soho, NY, Posner Gallery, Milwaukee, WI and Canyon Ranch Spas in Tuscon, AZ and Lenox, MA, as well as a group show at Lincoln Center, NY.

Small editions and the courage to be authentic mark Ellie’s work as distinctive and precious, elevating the themes of dance and the innocence of children to a level of sensual discovery. As one client said about his piece, “The elegance of this beautiful bronze sculpture is breathtaking for all to behold.  She evokes a feeling of serenity, yet extreme passion for living.”
